Dwelling Blocks streamlines profile management and the appraisal workflow, but order assignments themselves are handled directly by the lender’s team. For questions about order allocation, contact your connected lender.
Follow these five practices to maximize your opportunities and maintain a strong standing.
1. Keep Your Profile up to date
License: verified and not expired
Insurance: not expired
Coverage Area: reflects the regions you actually serve
Address: accurate, so lenders know you're local
Phone Number: current - lenders may call to offer assignments directly
Capacity: reflects your real availability
Tip: Going on vacation? Update your profile to show you’re unavailable, and remember to reactivate when you’re back.
2. Stay proactive with assignments
Set the appointment promptly — schedule inspections as soon as possible.
Mark the inspection as completed once it’s done.
Set an ETA for report submission with your estimated delivery date.
Refer to this article to learn more about each step.
These status updates keep the lender, their brokers, and borrowers informed, and help close out the order.
3. Communicate about delays early
If you can’t meet a due date — for example, you can’t schedule the inspection in time — contact the lender support team right away to request a new date, using the urgent Notes area on the assignment details page.
4. Confirm your report submission went through
- Check for a confirmation email after uploading your report — this is your final signal that everything is complete, or that something needs attention.
- Didn’t get the email? Check your report status directly in the system — it always reflects the most current information, whether the submission succeeded or needs action.
5. Know where to go for help
Technical or system issues: Email us at support@dwellingblocks.com
Order assignment questions: Use the Assignment Note (mark as urgent)
